Your first visit, step by step

Show up. Meet the team. Get started.

  1. Choose a scheduled class. Use the program guide above or ask us which session fits your goals. Your first class is always free.
  2. Bring your will, a T-shirt and shorts. Bring water, too. The gym provides the equipment you need for the first couple of weeks, so you can try the training before buying your own gear.
  3. Give yourself a little time before class. We recommend arriving 10–15 minutes early to meet the coach, get set up and ask questions.
  4. Tell your coach that it's your first session. Share your experience level and ask about class drills, partner work and sparring so you know what to expect before joining in.

Before your first round

A few questions you might have.

Do I need experience or to get in shape first?

No previous combat training is needed to get started. Bring the strong will that got you here and tell us where you're starting from. We'll help you choose a class and get familiar with the training.

What do I wear, and what equipment do I need?

A regular T-shirt and shorts are enough to start. The gym provides the equipment needed for your first couple of weeks. Gloves and shin guards are available for your first striking session. If you're coming to BJJ, check with the coach about the current gi or no-gi format and getting set up for that class.

How often should I come?

We recommend at least 2–3 days per week. Your unlimited Muay Thai / Kickboxing and MMA membership lets you choose classes in those programs around your schedule and the skills you want to work on.

How do I prepare for partner drills and sparring?

Tell the coach that you're new. Ask about the drills, contact and sparring in that session before class begins, and let the coach know your experience and comfort level. Your coach is the right person to guide your participation.

Can my child try a class?

Yes. Our Kids Classes are for girls and boys ages 8–15, on Tuesday and Thursday at 5 PM and Saturday at noon. Contact us with your child's age and experience, or select Kids Classes in the inquiry form below.

Do I have to sign a contract or buy branded gear?

No. Membership is a monthly subscription with no contract; you can cancel any time. We never require you to buy Gladiator-branded equipment or gear.

Which program is right for me?

Muay Thai focuses on striking. MMA connects striking, wrestling and grappling. BJJ develops ground skills through gi and no-gi training. Kids Classes combine striking and grappling for ages 8–15. Tell us what you want to improve, and we'll help you find your starting point.
